Overview:

Available Daily; 2 Days and 1 Night Trekking at Doi Inthanon National Park area. Get out into the unspoiled jungle in the less trekked Doi Inthanon National Park area. Get to see this beautiful area South East of Chiang Mai while trekking through Shan, Hmong and Karen hill tribe villages. Overnight at a Karen hill tribe village. Finish off the final day with Elephant riding and the famous Chiang Mai bamboo rafting along Mae Wang river. This is an excellent way to make the most of two days while in the Chiang Mai area.

Description:

Day 1

• Depart Chiang Mai at 9:30am and drive 30 minutes to a local market.
• Drive a further 1.5 hours to a Shan village for lunch
• Short drive to trek start point
• Trek for 30 minutes to a Hmong village.
• Trek for a further 2.5 hours to a Karen Hill tribe
• Stay overnight in village.

Day2

• After breakfast trek for 1 hour to the elephant camp
• Ride elephants through the jungle and along the river for about 1 hour.
• Trek 1.5 hours to waterfall, stop for lunch and swimming.
• Trek 1.5 hours to truck stop.
• Short drive to bamboo rafting start point.
• Bamboo rafting for about 1 hour
• Return to Chiang Mai around 5:00pm.

*Timings are only approximate and will vary from day to day, depending on weather conditions, pace of the trekking group, etc.  

Tour includes:  

• Transportation by seated a pick-up truck (Song Taew)for round trip.
• An English speaking tour guide (or other languages available upon request) who is experienced, friendly, knowledgeable and officially registered by the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
• Local porters and guide helper from the village.
• 4 Thai local foods: Lunch on the first day and last day (Vegetarian food is available upon request).
• Accommodation on the trek including sleeping gear. 
• Every activity on the trek.
• A small bag pack for your trek is available for loan (Please request)
• All entrances fees.
• Accident insurance

What to bring?

• Hiking shoes or sport shoes
• A few T-shirts
• A few pairs of socks
• Swimming suit
• Camera & batteries
• Long pants/or trousers.
• Flip flops/sandals.
• Pullover or jacket (Cold season Nov-Jan)
• Rain coat (Jun-Oct)
• Flash light with batteries
• Soap and shampoo
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Toilet paper (if you don’t like to use bamboo stick).

Baggage

We recommend you to leave your baggage at your hotel/guest house if it is available or at our office. The less baggage you carry with you, the more you will enjoy the program.
