3 Days trekking and Sightseeing Chiang Mai - Chiang Rai - Golden Triangle

Start and finish in Chiang Mai

Day 1

       8:00am - 8:30am: Get picked up from your guesthouse or hotel's lobby and drive up north to a limestone waterfall which is the highlight of the activities.  Enjoy a wet climb up and down the waterfall and the relaxing and refreshing atmosphere.  Next stop will be Chiang Dao Cave where inside lays a temple where you be amazed by the the beautiful stalactites and stalagmites, naturally created for millions of years. After a quick stop for lunch we will go on foot to the villages of the Akha and Lisu hill tribes through the forest and up on the hilly paths for approximately 3 hours to the Dara-ang tribals village where you will spend the night.  During your stay relax and enjoy the Dara-ang's traditional and simple ways life.  After a delicious Thai dinner enjoy a the traditional songs and dances performed by the children around a large camp fire. Your overnight stay will be in basic and traditional bamboo hut.  Lunch and dinner are included.

Day 2

       You 'll be woken by the roosters of the village surrounded by the beautiful atmosphere and the dawn of a new morning. After breakfast, served at 8:00am, we will prepare our self for the 2 -2.30 hrs. hiking out of the village and get to the car
Lunch will be prepared after you leave the river.  Then continue your trip to the great Thaton temple. Here we will see a big Buddha image on top of the hill and a great view of Burma and the Kok River. Drive on to stop at the biggest Orange Farm in Thailand and have a sample of freshly squeezed orange juice and the delicious oranges grown here (Nov-Feb). Driving up the mountainous road you will enter Chinese Village of Doi Mae Salong (Formerly known as KMT).  Here you will  have dinner, Chinese style, then stay overnight in one of the most beautiful resorts in the area that is surrounded with mountains and scenic views.  Breakfast, Lunch,and  Dinner are included.

Day 3

       After breakfast, we will visit a local market that will make you feel like you are in China, not in Thailand. If you are lucky you will experience seeing the tribal people coming along with their donkeys, carrying products from the farm to sell at the market. Then drive and stop by a local tea shop where you can sample the fruits of their labor….Tea tasting!!!  Continue driving along the mountainous road and down through the valley and enjoy the stunning of views.  We will continue our drive along the Mae Khong River and have lunch on the rivers edge. After lunch enjoy the a boat ride and visit Laos (on a large boat or speed boat).  Visit a local market and continue to ancient city of Chiang Saen, and the cities 1200 year old Chedi and city walls. Proceed on to the great Black House and the great White Temple of Chiang Rai, both constructed by the Thailand's National Artists. Here we can walk around, take some beautiful pictures, and shop for souvenirs and beautiful paintings made by local artists.

Your return to Chiang Mai  is on a different route and makes a stop at a hot spring.  Breakfast and lunch are included.
